From 1 - 10 What is the Pain Level?

Spent most of the day riding around Raleigh trying to track down some contractors. I was able to find 1 out of 4 so I guess that gives me a success rate of 25%. Needless to say being stuck in the car all day did nothing for my knee. I'm having a good old fashion knee cutting pretty soon to fix my problem. Basically at this point if Dr. Dean were around and asked me the pain level on the scale of 1-10......I'd have to give him a 9 tonight. This just sucks.

It has come to pass that someone I think very very highly of is a user. They have been a "friend" but here lately it appears that it's a friendship of convenience for them. I've went out of my way to be a good friend and help this person in many many ways. Now days I can't even get a simple hello. Seems they may have gotten an inflated ego, or possibly figure there is nothing else they can gain from me. While I would like to write this person off as a bad apple (and I will eventually), I will not stop in giving my help to them as they are trying to better themselves. One day they will need me again and then the Irish Rant will be unleashed. I hope that I have never used someone's friendship for my own complete gain.

Yeah I took a couple months off...again. What have I done over the past few months....studied, worked, made it through the holidays, went to Hawaii and had surgery. So much fun...I can hardly stand it.

Santa Claus gets code of conduct


LONDON (Reuters) - It's the Santa Clause and its aim is to root out substandard Santas.

Jolly, bearded Father Christmas has been ordered to clean up his act or be forced to hang up his trademark red suit.

"We are trying to eradicate shoddy Santas," James Lovell of the Ministry of Fun agency told Reuters the day after a secret summit of Santas drew up guidelines for girth, beard length, attire, footwear and general demeanor.

"Santa is a magical and cuddly man, not a fat, smelly slob," said Lovell, whose agency fills 500 Santa positions a year. "I even saw a Santa last year wearing trainers (sneakers)."

From this December Santas -- who only substitute for the real thing when he is busy elsewhere -- must be neatly presented, have a bushy white beard no more than six inches long and a girth of no greater than 48 inches and no less than 46 inches.

"He must not smell of drink or body odor and his 'Ho! Ho! Ho!' must resonate deeply," Lovell added.
